As I recall, the stock C5Z pump will NOT handle anywhere hear 600 rwhp, at least not without a boost-a-pump. But, I'm pretty sure the C6Z pump does, and it is definitely a plug and play drop-in replacement. And while you're in there, you might as well replace the wiring harness with a Racetronix unit. My oem harness went bad on me.

I recall chicago1 installing a 340 pump in his car but I can't remember if it was an aem or aeromotive, he had a big thread going over his progress if you look it up and sort through it... this would apply to the earlier cars with the pump in the side of the tank though, not sure about the mid 03+ cars... fwiw I had a walbro 255, hotwire harness, kenne bell 40a boost a pump, meth, and 60lb injectors and that was fine at a little over 700rw... take meth out of the equation and I think you would be fine with a 255 and boost a pump if you're shooting for under 600, providing you don't see any knock
I would recommend searching through the Forced Induction / Nitrous section then posting this there if you cannot find your answer. Going to get a better response there.
