my stock seat suck as the foam is gone/breaking down. found someone selling corbeau a4 seats black cloth recline. was wondering whats needs to mount these ???? my seats are not power. i have a 99 FRC body. also could i use my stocks seatbelts???? im 6 ft was weight 215lbs.
how hard are they to installed? how much you pay for them??
The install is quite simple. Remove the plastic covers at the front and back of the seat rails to expose the studs (they slide on so pull forward on the fronts and rearward on the backs). Remove the four nuts that hold the seat down. Tip the seat forward and disconnect any harnesses attached to the seat (mine were power seats). Pick the seats straight up to clear the studs and angle the seat back out of the car. Put a furniture pad or something similar on the door sill so you don't scratch it when removing or installing the seat.
Remember the Corbeau seats are swapped (driver's seat goes in the passenger side and vice versa) to fit correctly so the recliner lever will be against the hump in the car. To make it easier to reach the recliner lever, I removed the plastic cover and used a socket extension to support the base of the lever and bent the end toward the seat base. This gives you something to grab because it's a tight fit when the seat is installed. Other folks have drilled a hole in the lever and installed tethers to the levers to give something to grab to adjust the backs.
Install the new seats being careful not to scratch the door sill or plastic cover. Reinstall the four bolts and you are done. You can adjust the angle of the seat base by installing washers under the seat bracket on either the front or rear two studs. I have two or three washers (can't recall) under the front of mine to give me proper leg support. I'd recommend using grade 8 fender washers for the first two to spread the load on the floor.

thanx!! but where do i get the seat slides or do i use the factory ones?
I assumed they would come with the seats. I got mine from TPS Motorsports. They post regularly on the forum. I'd suggest getting the dual locking sliders. If you buy new ones, I'd suggest putting them in the car to be sure the bracket feet sit flat on the floor of the car. Adjust as necessary before installing the seats onto the brackets. If you use the Corbeau brackets, you may need to trim the carpet a little so they'll lie flat. I had to trim mine a little bit.
