What gets me is the amount of threads asking about what oil to use, brake fluid, how many Ted to change the oil and such. I have to laugh, it's a car unles to are racing it every weekend, most of us here out vette is a second car once or at most twice a year is plenty and when in doubt go with what GM stated in your manual

I have had some Corvettes that I daily drove. For a little over 5 years I was putting 20k miles per year on them. This was daily all year, even in the snow.

I have had some Corvettes that I only drove on the weekends or for pleasure trips and didn't put many miles on them.

The thing I noticed is that the seldom driven cars stayed looking nice, but after selling cars, the ones I missed were the daily drivers that I got used to driving (and enjoying) in all conditions.

Now I try to drive them more. I have several cars so I don't get a lot of miles on any one, but none of them just sit. To me they are more fun if I use them. I still try to keep them nice, but make it a point to drive them.

I had a C3 show car garage queen for a long time. It had 42k original miles on it when I sold it to a car show guy. I sold it because it had side pipes and was so loud and not "driver friendly". I wanted a car I could have fun with. I bought my 01 vert from a local guy a year ago, under 30k on it and I put 17k on it last year. I love driving it! It's always clean and maintained. I've been putting a lot of mods on it and not at all worried about keeping it stock. I bought it to suit my personality and not keep it as a show car, but to drive.

I bought my 04 vert in 2013 with 6500 miles on the odometer. it currently is sitting at 18250. We bought it to drive not sit in the garage. Wish we could find time to put more miles on it.

My 03 Z is the daily ride, rain or shine. 30K miles driven in 2 years of ownership. Had 56K when I got it in APR of 2014 and just hit 86K last month.

Mine is a weekend/car show toy. I put on average 2,000 - 3,000 per year. No rain for me.

I bought my car with 3 miles, 1998. 46000 on the clock now. No plan to get rid of it. I drive it when I fell like it. I do have other cars to drive. I don't store mine at home. Want this vette to last as long as I do.

I drive mine any day that it isn't pouring rain or snow on the ground. I also do all my own wrenching on it and I enjoy keeping it clean as well.

I drove my C4 every day and I drive my C5 every day. I bought them to drive them. Buying a car and not driving it is like marrying a good looking woman and not having sex with her. I wouldn't do that either.

I got my '00 C5 in Dec. 2014 with 101K on it and now at 106K. I got my '84 C4 in July 2015 with 101K on it and now 106K on it too. I'm retired but make it a priority to drive one or both every day. The C5 is about where I want it to be with mods while the C4 is a stick and a work in progress so fun to drive.

I purchased my C5 in May of 2014 with 142,000 miles. I have put about 8000 miles on it since. I also have a c4, that I completely rebuilt that I have driven about 3000 miles since the rebuild. I am retired and I try to drive them as much as we can.

I used to keep my Corvettes with few miles saving them for the next owner, but those days for me are gone. They are made to be driven IMHO.

My 2000 vert is a weekend car and has never seen a drop of rain or snow.. I only put on about 1000-1500 miles a year.

My 98 Indy Pace Car has just over 25,000 miles. Bought it a year ago, and put about 700 miles in a year up to now. Mostly just driven on days without rain or weather issues. I figure I'll average about 1000-1500 miles a year going forward.

Purchased my 2000 in 2001, I have just a little over 23k on the car. I've been retired since 1998 and have 3 cars and 2 that are emissions exempt (under 5k per year). I'd put my car in the car show/ fair weather class. There are times I don't leave the house for 3 or 4 days. So it's hard to put any miles on any of our cars. During the summer I do go to Atlantic City and take my car but round trip that's only 200 miles. almost all the miles I put on last year were those AC trips.

I bought my '86 coupe at Christmas last year (2015). It's showing 145k miles on the odometer.

It's been well maintained/cared for but it's not a pristine show car.

I didn't buy it to be a trailer/garage queen or concours show piece. This is my 1st Corvette and I BOUGHT IT TO DRIVE.

I think it's ironic that some owners are saying "Corvettes are meant to be drove" yet put only 3000-5000 miles a year on it.

I drive my 2002 Z06 every chance I get averaging about 15000 miles per year since I bought it two and a half years ago. It just turned 75000 miles and has many more to go before it gets retired. Still looking good and running strong.

We bought our vert with 91K on the clock so it was already a "driver". Have put an additional 18K or so on it in the 21 months we have owned it. Don't drive it much in the winter - it hasn't been on the road for nearly 2 months. Car was also off the road for a couple months this summer prior to and during its engine rebuild otherwise we'd have put well over 20K miles on it by now. Did the Hot Rod Power Tour in it last year and looking forward to doing it again in it this year.

Trouble is we just don't drive anywhere !!

We have 3 cars, DD sedan, a new SUV and the 03 vette. All 3 together I doubt we did 5000 mi last year and that included a 2200 mi trip to Florida.

Oh, and I also have a 4th car, 1932 hot rod that gets driven about 300 mi per year and I have to work hard to get that.
