I agree with starting with the DIC codes and cleaning the Mass Airflow Sensor wires is a good thing to do regardless. I wouldn't just randomly start throwing parts at it though. However, a fuel filter is probably a good thing to do at 74K miles, and the fact it sat alot before, as general maintenance.
I'm not clear, has it done this since you bought it, or did it start after you had the work done?
Another good thing to do is run a 20 oz. bottle of Techron complete fuel system cleaner with a full tank of fuel. I hope your running 93 octane.
I put a bottle in every 3000 miles, as recommended, unless you have a Chevron station. If you do and you always get your fuel there, it's already in it, in a lower concentration.
If a few simple things don't make any improvement, I agree, I would start looking for a good GM mechanic, or if I lived in Dallas, LG Motorsports specializes in Vettes.

We just put seafoam in it like 30 mins ago i had the car for 3 weeks before this issue started....my god whoever aired the tires up had them at 50PSI
I had a similar issue when I bought my 04 18 months ago. I read the CF discussions and found people were adding Chevron Techron Fuel additive for fuel gauge issues. I was not having any gauge problems but added Techron anyway and wala, no more hesitation issues.

I bet it rode like a log wagon! I run all for of mine at 30psi, just as recommended, and they wear perfectly even and ride well. I always check my pressure at the very least monthly, but usually more often. Last time I had an alignment after lowering my vette, I got home and they had put 40psi in them. I could tell driving home it was too stiff. I could feel every crack in the road. Tires are too expensive not to take good care of.

I use the techron to keep the entire fuel system clean, and it also cleans/prevents carbon build up in the combustion chamber. I've never had a fuel gauge issue either. It pretty much covers all the bases.
I got a good deal on 6 bottles on Amazon not long ago when someone here on the forum found and posted it. Really good stuff. I run it in my cars, motorcycle, and lawn equipment too.
