I want to lower my car, add bilstein sport shocks, and get some sway bars that will improve the cornering capabilities of my 2002 Z06. I have looked everywhere, and none of the performance sites tells whether adding these components will increase roll stiffness, shock damping, or tightness over the 02 Z06. I feel my car could be 10% or more tighter entering, and exiting corners, and getting rid of the brake dive, and squat under hard acceleration. Anyone done any suspension mods besides lowering your 02,03 Z06? Help appreciated. And while I'm asking, anyone got those 2 piece Baer eradispeeds front and fear, and if so , do you like them? :hat
You might want to give Gary Allison at Ronal an e-mail regarding this subject. I believe that he has done, or has had done, some work in the area of handling. His e-mail is below:
Vette Lag,
We sell BMR and GM T1 sway bars... each of which are better than stock Z06. We also sell the Bilsteins and have a package special going on right now: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=364314. Give Nate a call Tuesday... he can give you the low down on different setups matching one to your expectations.
