Default Rear storage cover question

I have been trying to find out what factory covers I need for a Z06. I though the convertible ones were correct but I have seen some that are flat towards the rear and some have notches like a coupe. Granted these are listed for auction and they might not know which is which and now neither do I. I don't want to buy them and then be stuck with the wrong ones. So my question is which ones fit? Also will a coupe trunk mat fit or does that have to be a convertible one? I have a 2003 Z if it makes a difference in the rear tub. Thanks!

The back of this one says left hand convertible. But I thought they were straight, not notched. I've seen them that way too. I've heard the coupe ones don't fit at all. I thought this looked like a coupe one.

True, but I want to make the floor flat to put a mat that covers the whole floor so I can put luggage in it easier. I understand you can't get the factory carpet anymore and I want the carpet to match. Otherwise I would just make some myself. I'm silly that way....

My 04Z has a center cover. Added by PO? Possible I guess.

Those are not it, i have a pair and they dont work. I think they are for a coupe or a convertible one. The thing is our cars dont have a hook or anything for the latch to hook on to. So dont waste your money.

I was going to velcro them down. Plus the mat should hold them in place too. Is the shape off on the ones you have like the ones in the pic?

I have all three covers. I bought mine over a year ago from Fichner Chevrolet and I was told these were the last end covers availing form any dealer nation wide. Bob actually got them from another dealer for me. Mine also have the plastic tabs. I think the tabs are for locking them in place however the Z06 floor doesn't have a mounting point for the cover to lock into. Don't know if a coupe or vert does. None of the three cover fit perfect.
As for the mats...I bought one to go in front of the partition and one to go behind it. The mat that is in front of the partition fits perfectly as do the the floor mats. The rear mat however that goes behind the partition and over the three covers does not fit great at all. I'm actually surprise because the other mats are spot on perfect. All of the in the car are Lloyd ultimats. I spoke to Dave at southerncarparts.com who was very helpful. He said that the mat for the convertible will work in a Z06. The only problem there is the partition won't fit then. This is why Lloyd makes two mats for a Z06. I suppose you could make your own partition and have a one piece mat or do like I did and get the two mats. Here are some pics. Hope this helps

I should also mention the carpet on the covers do not match each other or the carpet in the car. I still have to trim my partition to get it to fit perfectly between the front and rear carpet. Overall I'm not thrilled at all with any of the covers or the Lloyd mat behind the partition. I'm probably going to make my own covers soon. Not sure what carpet to cover them with though. I may also order a one piece mat, but that will require even more trimming on the partition to get it to fit right.

Wow, they really don't match in color do they. I thought they were supposed to be flat like that on the panel edge. I had an 03 convertible and I think they fit tight together like that. But I thought the color was ok. Maybe because they were all made at the same time. I've seen the Lloyds mat at Southern they have one that's cut for a Z06 with a partition. I might end up just making my own if they won't match anyway.

Yes mine are exactly like those ones. Black color like the carpet. I guess velcro would work if you really want to make this whole set up work.

I bought a center cover new at Bloomington Gold many years ago from one of the bigger catalogue companies. Included were the latches - just had to mark the proper position and drill a couple of holes then pop rivet the brackets to the floor. I did inspect under the floor to assure I wouldn't hit anything before I drilled and I did cut the existing floor covering (too thin to call it carpet) before installing the brackets. The cover makes loading luggage easier and provides great storage for tools, etc., one needs when traveling. True, the carpet on the cover doesn't match the texture of the standard floor covering but I never intended to "show" my trunk so the utility of the cover made it worthwhile.
