I have lower back problems and sometimes it's a bitch to get in and out of the C5 . Wondered if this would work and if the body ( car body ) would hold up to it .

Haven't tried that. I too have lower back problems. Herniated L4L5. Pain was unbearable. I got this injury in a very stupid way, at the gym. So after going through all the testig, mri's and doctors, they say surgery is the fix. I was not into that idea so I got 2 more opinions. 3 doctors recommended 3 different surgeries. That was unsettling, didn't know what to do. I got so lucky that a friend not even that good of a friend. Literally dragged me to his chriopractor, 10 years later and I'm good. No surgery and no pain. I go once every 2 weeks for an adjustment. I know this got way off topic, but I had to share. Give chriopractic a shot for the back pain. It may solve all the problems.

I always use the jamb latch to push off to get out of the car, not sure why I would need to fool with sticking a handle in there?

I have seen them advertised on TV. It seems to me that they would be very beneficial to someone who has trouble getting out of a C5.

I have Spinal Stenosis & Arthritis in my lower back. My Corvette puts such a smile on my face I forget about all the pain. IMO owning a corvette could be the cure all for a lot of the problems in this world.
