C5's are rediculously easy to get into with a cloths hanger wire. Why keep an extra key? If you do keep a key in your wallet, why would you remove the resistor? If I lose the key I was using, I might actually want a key that works to get me home. If my wallet is lost or stolen the lost key is the least of worries.

I've done this on 2 occasions. Wire coat hanger down the window. Push the door unlock button with it... open door... alarm goes off.
At this time I have seven cars and six of them have a spare key somewhere under the car, most of them have a door key because the chances are that I would leave the keys inside and I just need to open the door. I tried carrying spares on my wallet but they made a huge bulge and uncomfortable to drive. My C5 has one close to the rear bumper cover(I don't worry, the car is in the garage all the time)
i think the bottom of the rear bumper someplace you can put something on the inside easy to get at, the side vents dont work for guys with mesh screens
