The doors have common STRESS POINTS. You have found one of them. Most body shops will NOT repair doors because, they often re-crack in the same area after the repairs.
That said,, with enough reinforcement in that area, you may be good to go. The question is, where ELSE is the door broken??????
They will need to completely STRIP the door out and look for more cracks, fix and repaint.

Thanks Bill, Gerber went threw my whole door and looked for fractures in other areas, I know the owners son so I got a decent deal. Thankfully that was the only damage and the picture makes the crack look big it was only about a inch to a inch 1/4th.
I appreciate your reply as it was about the only one that addressed my problem, thanks again Bill.
So I was at the races and 5-0 happen to appear (azcashdays), everyone ran like normal, I got to my car, opened the door and somebody who wasn't looking where he was going ran into my door with his BODY. I barely had it open so when he hit it, it swung open a little bit then he flipped over it as it came to the end of the hinges.
As we get to the 2nd spot I check my door and notice a crack on the top of the door right above the door handle but below the glass, ended up getting $300 out of the dude but I doubt that will cover it.
So I was wondering where a good place in AZ is to get my door fixed and won't rape me.

Astro body down off camelback. Paige is the owner. Does amazing work. He's experienced with corvettes and he has always beaten my expectations. He does a lot of hot rod and custom work so he is accustomed to high end work. He's not the guy pulling the fender off your Elantra. He has also always come in shockingly reasonably priced.
i still get amazed on how a lot of you pick on street racing but dont have a problem with having a few beers, smoking weed or other drugs and getting behind the wheel while intoxicated
I'm not going to be a hypocrite. Have I had fun on the highway? Hell yea I have! Not ashamed to admit it either. In my 20's did I go to car meets and drive to "mexico"......sure did. I made the comment I did because someone posted with "street racing" in the title. I usually kept my "events" to myself. Have to admit as ive gotten a little older and have driven these cars for over 10 years, my attitude on the road has changed a great deal. Even still with all the.....what most would call recklessness.....ive only had 1 speeding ticket in the almost 9 years of owned the vette. Traffic and location permitting, I'm not afraid to have a little fun present day. Be smart.
i guess it just bugs me when "street racing" gets picked and how stupid or childish it is and now for males with small penises
but all the post about guys "opening up" "stretched its legs" "well into 3 digits" never gets bad feedback and that some how is acceptable or at least more accepted

He must have some inside knowledge!
I heard same for just owning a vette
Bahaha one of my best friends at work calls my car compensation. Whenever it's in the lot he stops by my office with coffee and says , "hmmm see you drove compensation to work". He had a 600+ HP 300ZX up until a few months ago.
OP - Glad you got your door fixed. Wish you had video of that guy flipping over your door when he was running . As far as street racing, do what you are going to do, but illegal is illegal.
I really hope this is a reference to illegal street racing... And not racing as a whole.
Yes. Illegal street racing. Being immature and dangerous.
Want to race, do it legally in a controlled environment where you don't hurt/kill any innocent person.

Agreed. I've done my fair share of street races when I was younger and looking back on it, it was very stupid and could've gotten someone hurt. Thankfully it did not but was a risk I will not take again. Track racing for the win.
