Purchased the above on sale last night from Harbor Freight. Saw it written up a while ago....at 25% off, I had to buy one. Looks to be well if not over engineered. Will do a show and tell this week-end for an oil change. Write-up to follow.
Not sure how this is going to help...
C5's are too low for most jacks, this decreases clearance.
There are cross members front and back where you can place your jack.
Sorry, just curious how you'll use this.

I used it on mine. First I jack it up and put all 4 tires on wood platforms I made out of 2 thick 2x12s. Now it's just like any other car.... clearance wise.

I do exactly the same, then use a floor jack in the middle of the crossmember. Thus my question...

I bought one a year ago at harbor also n it works fine for me, to use it in the front end I just drive the car on two small ramps I have and it fits fine. I liked it a lot. Good luck Runner...

I guess I use it because the middle of the cross member is not a recommended jacking point. I used to use a 2x6x24 piece of wood across it, but tried the cross beam jack accessory and it worked nice. I use it with my other vehicles too.
I have gone through 3 of the HF jacks in the last 16 years. You can use a jacking puck in the front tie down point and jack up the whole side of the car for many service jobs like changing tires (do this about 40X/yr) checking suspension, etc. For oil changes, use 2x12's for the front tires and you can use a 1x2 about 12" long and jack at the front cross beams. Jacking up the rear is easy because you have plenty of clearance. A 4" 2x4 long ways on the jack works nicely. I place the jack stands at the (RED) preferred locations.
"Bugman locations for single jack" are valid ONLY if you use something that spans the entire length of the crossmember from end to end (i.e., the two locations on each end).
I bought those too when they had the sale before. I haven't used them yet. I was going to raise my car on my lift first then put the jack stands and the cross beams under it and lower the lift. If that doest work, I'll be putting it on blocks first I guess too.
