Not all C5 have the same sensitivity to TC and there are a few members that report no issues with a "square" tire setup (same front and rear).

But the TC system uses wheel speed sensors to determine the rotational speed of the rear wheels relative to the front. When the rear tires are determined by the computer to be spinning faster than the front, TC applies the rear brakes, backs out timing and fuel to stop the condition it thinks is happening. Can be a real wakeup call first time you experience it and frightening if it happens at higher speed.

If you insist on running same diameter front and rear tires you have one step tht you can do to stop TC from taking control. Turn TC OFF with the button on the center console.

General rule of thumb is that to avoid TC problems the overall diaeter of the rear tires should be 1/2" to 1 1/2" larger than that of the front tires.
