Hey guys I'm looking forward to changing the brightness of my C5's lights from stock, but i'm not looking to spend too much on them. I'm looking to change the headlights, fog lights and possibly the 2 reverse light bulbs too. What type of bulbs do you guys recommend?
I want to get BRIGHT WHITE light bulbs too.
Let me hear what you guys have or used before going pricey...
What about Led's? Anything wrong with them?

I'm not gonna recommend either way, but I got cheap Amazon hid kits. One ballast went out after 10 days and they sent me a new bulb got a slightly more expensive kit and they've held up longer. I've got projectors also and the bulbs are more blue-ish. I know theres a memeber that deals with lights, cant think of his screen name right now.

Do yourself a favor and do a search on this. There are quite a few options you can do "on the cheap". You can first use the "high beam mod" for starters. You can also try the "high four"(both on together when on bright.
PM me for additional options/ideas(on the cheap).
OR go with a good set of HID's.

I believe the Radio Flyer is one of the experts in regards to lighting.
if you go HID you need a 55w kit other wise the headlights might not go down when turned off, search the bulb number you want to replace on amazon you can see led's that fit and how many lums they are also see feedback for the bulbs before you buy

So..... you install "high beam" bulbs in place of the "low beam" bulbs ??

For backup bulbs try these. Big difference and the price is right!

Yea I know there's quite a ways to go, but I just want to know based on what has already been tested and shown to work by other C5 owners. Main concern is the headlights and fogs to get a bit more light and hoping it's white. Like maybe the Phillips HIR?

most modern cars switched to HID for a reason, "IF" you install HID's and AIM your headlight properly i'm sure you will be very please i am
i never get oncoming traffic flashing me or any thing light output is much better then stock, 5000k temp color is mostly white pretty close to car with stock HID's(6k is more blue 8k is a lot blue)
if you swap signals and brake lights to LED's your going to get hyper flash and either need to get the replacement harness with the flasher installed or for much less you can install a flasher by mod the existing wires

If you want white lights and maximize light output, get 5000°K. The higher the color temperature, the bluer it gets and the less lumens it produces (all other things being equal).
As a rule you get maximum lumens at 4300°K, but it's a little yellowish compared to 5000°K, again, keeping all other variables the same.
not cheap but done right, radio flyer setup 5k hids led highs. I also learned my lesson with cheap led bulbs, there is usually a reason they sell them in packs of 10 or 20...
A hyperflash harness will fix hyperflashing turn signals when LEDs are installed (although hazards will still do it).

But does that harness only cover the tail lights?
I tried the cheap HID route and it was an involved waste of time.
Radioflyer is the authority for all light mods.
I have sets of the 9011/12 bulbs I will modify for the headlights, and I will be getting Radioflyer's "all four" harness. I did something similar with my Z and resulted in more light without the aggravation.

Some may most don't, not too sure but on my headlamps I run 55W and I have to switch the highbeams on for the lights to fully close. Otherwise they stay "lazy eye" looking

if you installed a 55w hid kit and your lights are not going down then you do not have a true 55w kit

As I said, a hyperflash harness will fix hyperflashing turn signals when LEDs are installed. It will take care of both front and/or rear turn signals.
In our cars the turn signal and hazard functions are provided by the hazard switch. Basically, this harness replaces the portion that handles the turn signals with a flasher that's LED friendly. Hazards will still hyperflash because that function remains untouched in the OEM hazard switch.
