A change in altitude (geographically and topographically ) will have more effect on coolant than this stuff.
So true - in an automobile the cooling demands rise and fall continuously, and it is very difficult to measure any real delta-temp advantage.
But for interest - you know who swears by this stuff? Big water-based cooling systems for super-computers: steady-state conditions allow much better observation of effects, and almost all use an additive of this type (plus a biocide). Note that RedLine started in Silicon Valley (and are still nearby).

An edit as an aside: racers do not use this stuff to see an observed 12% temperature difference. Rather, anything that might allow the system capacity or frontal area to be 12% smaller would constitute a true advantage.

Tried the Hyperlube Super Coolant additve yesterday. Took same route as we did Friday, outdoor temp about the same. Coolant temp cruising at 65 was 194, Friday it was 196.
