Default Brakes

So today I finally got to drive my vette . Went to a friends house about 65 miles one way. So on the way home I hit rush hour traffic, and after only ten miles or so I see a heavy truck and trailer moving left to change expressways, and everyone is on his butt (10 cars or so) I am already thinking this is not good and everyone slams on the brakes. Eight of the ten cars slam into the back of one another **** flying everywhere!!!!
I hit my brakes not all that hard and stop with plenty of room, I look in the mirror and a 3/4 ton Chevy pickup is almost sideways !! (I 'm thinking well I stopped), well lucky for me he stopped short of my rear !!!! So the first Day and WOW !!! That was close !!!!! You just have to love a vette, 8 out of ten cars wreck and I didn't even hit the brakes hard and stopped easily !!!!

Change your shorts and put the car back in the garage.

So the 8 that crashed had bad brakes or bad drivers ? Consider yourself lucky and continue to watch out for the other guy always.

Oh for sure they were way to close I did see a problem well before they did , But most of them slammed the brakes hard even tires squealing ??? My point was I put very little pressure on the brakes and stopped easily. No doubt my reaction time was better but the truck behind had all he could do to not hit me !!!!! Maybe it was my new steel braided brake hoses ????

It's great to have a car that has very effective brakes. Glad you were able to avoid hitting another car.
