Pull Key and Wait 10 Sec.....
About a month before I put up my C5 for the 2015-16 winter, I received the above message 3 or 4 times. Usually after its been running for a while, I turn it off then back on. I just took it out of storage for the spring, it started right up, I let it run for 30 minutes, took it for 20 minute drive, and turned it off. 30 mins later I started it, it stalled and I received the above message again. I took the key out and it was fine. Any ideas?
Oh yeah, I did install the Steering Column Lock Bypass last summer. Could that have something to do with it? Thanks in advance!

OK, back to the main topic, by steering column lock bypass, you mean the LMC5 from Compliance Parts? If not, buy and install.
How's your battery? I'd have it tested.

You should have opted to install an LMC5 rather than the CLB. The LMC5 abandons all factory or recall wiring downstream of the BCM so you don't need to know what was done for the recall service which is different for manual vs automatic.
I would purchase the LMC5 and install it and do the brown wire mod on page 2 of the install instructions and your column lock problems will be permanently gone........
And I completely agree with the previous poster that the MOST COMMON cause of column lock symptoms is a weak or bad battery or loose or corroded battery connections including the one at the starter.... yesnod:
