I just put HUD, in C5, 1999, FRC..Shes not a Z....This clucter and projector, came out of a 2004 Z06, with 16000 miles in it...My car has 54000...Its was Surprisingly easy...Fits and works just fine..I now have a Teck with a Z06 flag on it, and lower miles....Enjoy the pictures.......
I thought the Miles were stored in the cars computer.is this not right?
Yeah this is very concerning to me to think that performing an odometer roll back is as simple as replacing the instrument cluster....
However, to be on topic, I think that custom film / hydrographic / whatever you want to call it, looks sick! Not something I would personally do to my own ride, but I still think it is very cool. I'm hoping to get my middle console made to look like a dark green carbon fiber to match the exterior of my ride using that method. Then want to get the carbon fiber leather cushion for the middle console arm rest, as well as replace the back portion of the middle console with the carbon fiber / hydrocarbon fiber part.

If you haven't done so, you might want to either get the mileage changed on the new cluster or get it documented as to what the real mileage on the car is. Odometer fraud is a serious issue.
That said, congrats on the HUD install - one of my favorite options.

I had HUD in my first FRC, (late model), but not in the second.
It's one of my favorite features, as I will drive at night with everything off but that.
Smart move.

Would the CarFax not show a discrepancy in mileage reported. Also, the title would need to be changed if jbclutch purchased the vehicle with more than 16k miles on it.
