Default Moved on to a C6

Sold my 2000 last year & Recently picked up a 2006 convertible. Was in the market for a C5 but after a test drive I couldn't resist. I will however miss the C5 section and wealth of knowledge the members have.

Pictures of the new ride and old

New ride looks sweet! Funny I'm probably the only person who really likes the pop up headlights better than the new lol at least when their in the down position just looks so smooth!

Agree the C5 design is iconic. Looked at both (5/6) will stay with C5. The 6 interior is nice. Enjoy the new chapter on your journey...

So question on you c5 guys. I'm looking at a couple different vettes to purchase and one is a 98' vert with only 48k miles for 17k is that price reasonable or too steep? It looks to be in great condition when I drove it!

It really depends on the specifics and details of the car. I believe you would need to post a lot more info to get forum members to give you an opinion. Good luck and best wishes!

I really wasn't planning on getting a C6, Just happened to see this one in my price range and jumped on it. This one is a Auto while the C5 was a standard but I'm already enjoying it just as much if not more. It has the paddle shifters and being a convertible is mainly what I was looking for. Oh and the horsepower bump is very noticeable.

I will agree with you, The keyless thing is something I'm still getting used to and I'm not sure if I really like it yet. As far as looks go, I'm not sure witch one I like more or less. Both look great imo. I drove 6 hours round trip and I will say I'm very happy with the car so far.

Like others have said, when I was looking for a vette, it had to be a C5 because of the pop up headlights!!

Enjoy the new ride and time with Dad!!
