Default Climate control ?

With the control set on auto at 70 degrees and outside temp of 58 degrees the system shows the A/C on. Is providing heat but kinda weird that it is indicating A/C. If I go to manual I can get rid of the A/C. But in auto the A/C shows as on.

In your owners manual which I'm sure you have carefully read, it states that "In temperatures above 40 degrees the AC cannot be turned off on defrost and defog mode as it helps remove moisture from the vehicle".
Yes i did read that and many cars do this as you said to remove moisture. However the A/C is on when the air is being directed to the floor only. Not in defrost mode.

Go into your DIC and go to the hvac section and clear all codes. You should hear the system cycle. Then check the function and see if it's corrected. You had the unit out to do the display and there may be codes that need clearing.
