That dealer is local to me. They always seem to have a lot of C5s.
I looked at a white '97 there last year. They wanted 11k and when I mentioned I'd be paying cash, they quickly offered to reduce the price. I passed on the car because the interior was very worn out and there was frame corrosion around the battery.
IMO 16.5k plus tax doesn't seem like that good of deal for that Z06.
For ~18k, I think you could find a better one from a private party.
The tires don't appear to match so there's a $1000 expense unless I'm not seeing the pictures right. The paint looks a little beat up by the wheel wells. Lots of miles. I bought my 2001 coupe, loaded but stock, 42,000 miles, for $16,000 from a chevy dealer 4 weeks ago. I'm the 2nd owner and the carfax was perfect. The last 4 years of the previous owner she was only driven about 4,000 miles.
What I found in my quest is I stopped looking in my area and starting looking everywhere. If you find one you like, most people or dealers will pick you up at the airport without issues. I looked at several within a 2 day drive from my home and was close to pulling the trigger on but in the 11th hour the one I bought came into view. I still had to travel to get it.

One thing I learned from my latest quest, that pictures are huge liars! The pix of the nose of this car would scare me away. I looked at a black one that seemed too good to be true, looked great in pix, but I took the 90 minute ride. Well it was one step above a rattletrap. It was modded, had coil overs, etc. yeah it was fast, but rode like a rock, and rattled lie crazy. It was then that I decided that pix are unreliable.
Looked at the Z06 last weekend. Car wasn't half bad, seemed to be fine mechanically and mostly fine cosmetically. Wasn't expecting the test drive to be as fun as it was. Those Z06's really fly and ride nice. Unfortunately, I didn't get the car. Just couldn't justify the cost they were asking, and I think a Z06 is a little too much for me to handle at this point in my life. The search continues, probably for a Coupe with a HUD.
