Chadwick's Gone Bad?

I only asked about the product.. like I would with other product .... I simply asked what is the attraction considering the cost... and the frequent use necessary. Gallons ?
I take offense to you , Paul coming at me, when I said I don't really care what anyone uses.... That was my first post... I don't see any difference in reflectivity and certainly not protection since you have to use it daily... I specifically said this was not a bashing. Just some questions for those willing to spend so much money on something that is so far away from any research or experience that I have had in my 71 years of life.
Choreo gave a glimpse as to why he uses it and I thanked him and said it was a reasonable explanation... Very civil and very repsectful
I won't comment further on the absolute defensive posture and personal attack to me... I could care less what anyone uses ... when I am asked, what I use, both in open forum and in private message to which I have over 30,000 . I tell people what I use.. I don't ram it down anyone's throat.
I'm glad that I am not alone in the notion that possibly Pounder gets his stuff for free, or is bedazzled by the showmanship of Neil... the first time he came here and I read his background as a golf caddy, and then saw all the hype ( fluff ) of his video, I did not buy any of it... 5 million dollars worth of cars, all exotics that rarely see the light of day...
OK IM off this thread but wanted to put it out there that I was offended by the disrespect I was shown in just asking questions and gathering data...
IM actually up to here with the Chadwick surrogate defense team of one.. I am not as dumb as I look.
Bill aka ET
Since when is honest discussion a problem?
I don't like the process, I don't like the product and I don't like the cost....
Trying to find out why others do, was just my curiosity... Making this ugly was your fault Paul not mine. Zaino never entered into this until you brought it up.
Not sure if you are the self appointed spoksman for Cahdwicks or you are given some crums for your support.

FWIW, I was the first one to try Triple Play when introduced to the C5 Forum. I was impressed then and continue to use the product, having purchased the 3 gallon set quite a while ago. I still have half left and none has gone bad, but then I keep mine inside the house.

You say something that you think is innocent to your wife, and she feels like she was hit with a rock... she feels that innocent statement was a rock....
So no matter how innocewnt you think you are in the defense of this product, other see different.
since you came at me, I responded that your comments to me were not civil or respectful... they were rocks no matter what you think.

The Chadwick's went on easily and came off easily (in one wipe-down) without me having to worry about a second, third or even fourth wipe-down (as is required with many wax and sealant products). And the paint's surface is very, very smooth to the touch (as smooth as the texture feels immediately after I apply two coats of my favorite paint sealant).
All of that said, my C5 (Millennium Yellow) is always garaged and driven only on weekends - about 5k miles/year. Furthermore, two weeks ago I did the "complete paint rehabilitation" thing - dust removal with a California Duster, followed by a clay barring using Meguiar's spray detailer as the lubricant, then polished, followed by the application of two coats of paint sealant (MPT's Classic), and finally a coat of Meguiar's best paste wax. These six steps took 9 hours in total (over a two day period - had to wait overnight for the paint sealant to cure).
So when I did the Chadwick's thing today, I was doing it to a very-recently-cared-for paint finish.
Like ET, I just can't bring myself to dragging a chemical-soaked towel across dirty paint...I just can't. The risk of adverse consequences is something I simply won't take.
So...would I buy more Chadwick's after this initial bottle is empty? Don't know yet...for me the acid test will be whether the Chadwick's accelerates, delays or has no effect on the frequency of my paint rehabilitations. Currently I paint rehab twice a year. If Chadwick's reduces that to once a year, then I'm a happy customer. But if the Chadwick's doesn't reduce the frequency of my paint rehabs, then....

ET makes a good point about cost, the intial price (for the kit shipped) is $86.

I wanted to hear from people who chose to use an expensive product, and a product that requires gallons of use. I wanted to hear the justification to do so... NOT why people do not like it.
Product separation, the need for climatic control, floating black stuff, bad smell, etc. are not the things that I wanted to hear. I just wanted to hear logical reason why people chose this product.
I've never once bashed this product, I just stayed out of those threads and the hype that was associated with it... IM a very good reader of internet body language,. and I can read between the lines... I gathered my opinion of the product from the first video I saw and the need to embellish it with things that are inconsequential to me. Way too much fluff an not enough science to get my interest.
The Original OP topic was about the Product going bad... and the feedback that some gave that supported this issue. WE all know that there are a lot of fan boys out there.. but I can not and could not get a handle on why people gravitate to this product. I was just trying to do that here, without starting a thread that would appear to be a bashing thread. so this thread was an opportunity to ask some questions to people who use this product.
Adams Detail Spray Gallon: $44.95
Adams Car Wash Gallon: $34.99
Adams H2O Guard and Gloss $79.99
*****************************
Chadwick Gallon $69.99
Chadwicks cleans, polishes and protects the same as the other individual products do for much less. I love the Adams products before I found out about Chadwicks.
I find that it takes about 4oz of Chadwicks to do my car each time. A added bonus the stuff is great on windows and Chadwicks no sling tire dressing is the best product I have ever used.
Adams pricing taken from their website.

A guy with a f430 did it to his car when it was moderately dirty. He said the product was vastly overrated because it looked no better than when he would pay a professional detailer to come clean and detail his car.
That's what made me initially try it.

professional detail in a bottle, without the professional price, sounds like a no brainier to me.I used it,I liked it.i will buy more.
vettes are over priced pieces of plastic, but we love them,if I want to use over priced cleaners,I'll use over priced cleaners.its my dam car.
I've used the product for over 1-1/2 years, going through just a little more than a gallon on a black 2001 C5 Vert, a 2004 Mag Red II Coupe and a 2016 Long Beach Red Metallic C7 Z51 Vert. Results have been great.
The main premise behind the waterless stuff is using a microfiber towel which traps the dirt so that you are not scratching your finish with it. Whether it works or not? Meh, I'm happy with what I get. I'm not taking my cars to shows trying to earn trophies, and I am definitely not overly picky about the finish.
The other waterless wash stuff that I used was quite a bit cheaper than the Chadwicks. But, I felt that the Chadwicks left a smoother finish.
So, this spring, when I first washed my car, I used the cheap stuff, and will probably go back to the Chadwicks once the weather turns nicer for the rest of the summer.
What I like about the Chadwicks is it is very quick and easy to use and gives great results (in my opinion). I tried Zaino when I had a 350Z and it seemed like a LOT more work. And, for my tastes, I am just not **** enough for it to be worth it. Work / reward ratio, Chadwicks wins my money.
Maybe I was using the Zaino wrong, but it was: wash with Z1, then 5 coats of Z2 (or something), then detail every day with Z5 or Z7, etc. Way too much work. I'd rather be golfing or out on the boat!

My $.02 anyway..
