What would make my C5 go through starters? I have had 3 in the last 4 years. I live in the northeast so it's not a daily driver. I only put about 5-7000 miles on a year. This last one was put in while I was in Florida for the winter and now it's doing it again after only about six months.I first thought it was a loose connection as I just get a clicking noise. In all three cases it has never given any indication that the starter was weakening. It just stops working. I have one put in and it starts fine. I would think if it were a wiring problem it would do it for the garage when they install the new one ? Other than that I love the car. Had my most favorite Florida road trip ever. Thanks
Headers? HEAT is what usually KILLS starters... just sayin
I would get the truck starter... don't remember what PN it is, and a bonus it comes with the longer bolts so you won't break where it mounts to your block!
