Default 2001 Z06 value?

I have a Low Millage 53K 2001 Millenium Yellow Corvette Z06 with a LS6 Blueprinted 383 Stroker. Brand New engine with 750 miles on build.
The engine was built by Thompson Motorsports out of Texas. It is an all aluminum LS6 based 383 Stroker with a hot cam and Yella Terra 1.7 Roller Rockers, Stock LS6 Intake and Throttle Body, 160 degree Thermostat, Long Tube Headers, 42 Lb Injectors, 235/239, .612/.603,113LSA+2 Custom Ground Cam. Ram Stage 3 Clutch kit with Billet Steele Flywheel, New OEM Slave cylinder, Tick Performance Adjustable Master Cylinder, Remote Clutch Bleeder Vavle. Long Tube Headers with stock Titanium Exhaust
The car has 53K miles on the car. The car does have the Memory Package.
The car was tuned by RCI in Toney, Ala.
This is one mean car. Crap loads of power.
I have all of the paper work and I also have a Clean carfax already printed out on the car.
No wrecks. Clean car fax.
The car does need a paint job. Clear coat is peeling on top surfaces.
Mechanically this car is solid and it is a beast. Sounds very healthy.
I have reciepts for everything.
I'm thinking about actually putting the car up for sale, but this is the first Corvette I have ever owned. And I have done some research but it's hard to put an actual $# on the car. I mean people can ask whatever they want.
I want to be realistic about it, but don't want to give it away either.
If I don't sell the car before summer time I will have the car repainted.
What would be a price to put on it?
I have seen 2001 Z06's from $17K with higher milage to $25K with lower milage.
It's not a show car but a very good driver.

Factoring in the paint job, I would say 20K is a good number.

I would check the KBB and NADA and get an idea. The value for our Zs actually just went up a significant amount within the last few weeks.

For reference, I picked up my Yellow 02' Z06 with 70K miles on it for $20,500 a couple of weeks ago, and after looking for 5 months I feel that it was a good value. KBB on my car a few weeks ago was about $17,600, checked it today and it's now at $23,600. That's a pretty big jump and works to your advantage right now.
The paint is in EXCELLENT condition. All it had was Borla axle back Stingers, Haltech intake, DVD player and Forgestar F14s 18/19s with 275/35/18 and 305/30/19s.

With a new motor and parts, I'd guess you're a little higher in value, but the bad paint might drop it back down a bit. For that mileage, you can aim for about 22-25K possibly. One thing is that KBB will almost always be lower than the NADA. And everyone that I dealt with was asking higher than NADA. I couldn't talk a single dealer down. It's almost like no one wants to let go of their Z06 for cheap.. They're almost always holding onto their initial asking price, ESPECIALLY dealers.

There are some that are 15-18K, but the ones I looked at in Dallas and Houston at Corvette world all had small clear coat issues, higher mileage (80-100K+), and crash bars in the front that were beat up a little more than I'd like.

If you posted this over in the general board you would have lots of advise that your mods don't count for much and might detract from the selling price. I don't share that train of thought as I believe there are lots of buyers looking to score a car with well thought out mods. Maybe fewer than those looking for stock garage queens, but they are out there. In my opinion, if the car has paint issues, they would need to be addressed before selling especially for a special tint coat paint like MY. I wouldn't consider $20k for a car needing paint.

I'd guess you'll get $18-20K. Start high, see what happens.

For those looking for a modded car, I would say 19-22K.
Those are a good list of mods from reputable sources.

+1 KBB & NADA get multiple ballpark figures for negotiating.
