Default Front video cameras

For those of you that have these, what did you get, where and how did you mount it?
I am getting an inexpensive rear video camera system that has 2 video inputs on the monitor, so it's relatively easy to wire in another camera, and I thought a front view would be great to have. I'm looking for suggestions as to type of camera and mounting options. Thanks.

I just use a go-pro camera mounted right behind the rear view mirror. Made a cool time lapse video from my home in Lancaster Ca. to San Diego Ca. turned out cool. You can see the camera in this picture of my car.
Check out this you tube link for the time lapse video

Nice video. Questions: How did you power it to stay on that long (Go Pro 4?) and what kind of mount did you use?

What I was trying to ask about is a front viewing camera for parking purposes, for the same function as a rear view camera, not a camera for recording what you see while riding. Cool video though.
And I just put in a bar to mount my camera to record out the front window while driving.
Now I am looking for something I can aim down at the road in front of the car to prevent banging into curbs, etc, while parking. I want to hear from others who have these as to what they got, where and how they mounted it. This would connect directly to the video monitor used for the backup camera.
Sorry for any confusion.

Nobody has a front video camera to aid in parking? Not even from Double D?
I can't believe I'll be the first to do this mod.

Maybe give Dennis a call and see what he has, if anything, that would do what you want.

Thanks mstromquist, Go-Pro Hero 3+, Had it plugged into the cig. lighter with a power charge cord, mounted it with the supplied flat surface sticky mount adapter, never coming off, that sticky stuff is strong. 1 picture every 5 seconds for 2 1/2 hours to get the time lapse footage.

There is a Curb Alert system with a front camera, I found this on the net.

I think sponsoring vendors have this system as well.

I think I'm going to cobble up a backup camera system from the web with either a 4.3" or 5" monitor and wireless camera system, and since all of these monitors have 2 video inputs, I'm going to get a second camera to mount in the front. The rear camera goes on and turns the system on with juice from the car's backup lights, the front camera can be powered with a separate switch hooked into the powered leads in the passenger footwell, and, when that camera is switched on, it will turn on the monitor. Should be fairly simple to put together, I just have to figure out where and how to locate and mount the front camera. If nobody has any other suggestions, I'll let you know how it turns out. The whole thing, front and rear cameras and video monitor, can be done for less than $50 and that's a small price to pay for playing with my car and great if it works as anticipated.

Front Cameras have been discussed in this thread:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...a-on-a-c5.html

Here's a PDF document that contains details on how I installed mine:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...upgradepdf.pdf

In general, the front camera isn't as useful as the reverse camera because it usually takes manual steps to activate it. When you put the car in reverse, the reverse camera shows on the LCD screen. To get the front camera to show, you have to manually select that video input, and remembering to do that, is a hard pattern to get into.

If you mean front camera as in PDR in the C7, I'd love to have one of those but haven't heard of anyone doing it yet.

If you need cameras in the front and the back, maybe you shouldn't be driving. I'm just saying............
