My dual climate control seems to be functioning, but has a little quirk I'm curious about. I'm not sure if I have an issue, or it's just the way the system is designed.
Imagine that it is 65 degrees outside, but the car has been sitting in the sun and it's 85 degrees inside. Lets say I set the temp to 75 degrees on the climate control under these conditions.
What I would expect to happen: The car sees that I want 75 but it's 85 inside the car so it turns on the AC.
What seems to be happening: The car sees that I want 75 but it's 65 outside so it turns on the heat.
Your inside temperature sensor might be broken? It shouldn't work that way. The sensor is to the right of the steering wheel under that little vented cover piece.
