Default Need help removing intake

I just purchased a 2002 and gave it to my wife for Mother's day but I get to work on it!
I am pulling the manifold to relocate the defective oil switch and at the same time I am going to tackle the relay in the EBCM.
I have a few questions that I can hope someone here can help me with.
Thanks is advance,
Joe

Does this have to be removed and how does the two white clips come off to remove the hose?

I have the manifold loose and can move it forward a little bit but it seems like something in back of the manifold is holding me.

I am trying to separate the air duct from the MAF but this is as far as I can get it. I do not want to force it, do I heat it with a hair drier?

1. you push the white part (clips) in to release the connector
2. the vacuum lines for the brake booster and HVAC are connected to the back of the intake and might be hung up on the air pump lines( add a length of hose to the HVAC hose to make it easier to re-install
take the brake booster line off at the booster(leave it on the intake (if you can)

3. I would have taken the air intake hoses completely off

Thanks for the replies.
I took the vacuum line off the booster already and I have removed the air intake from the car, the picture was taken on my bench.

akapounder:
Thanks, that is one of the things I am going to do. I have the adapters and I make my own hydraulic hoses in my store.

While you have the manifold off, you also might change the check valve the emissions that between the block and firewall.

Thanks but I do not know what you are referring to.

I have the manifold off and I also removed the EBCM and I was able to get the cover off.
Some company already repaired it, and did a terrible job re-soldering, they look like little solder *****! I found a solder connection that I can move so I will be de-soldering and then re-soldering during the week.
After I make my hose for the remote oil pressure set-up I will install the manifold, with new gaskets, clean the MAF and throttle body then test the EBCM.
Thanks to all who helped me including all the people who posted how to's in the past.
It made the job a lot easier.
Joe

He was referring to the AIR system check valve for the passenger side at the rear of the passenger head. The driver side is exposed and easy to access. I would replace it since you have the manifold off.

That is some crappy soldering.

+++++1 on above suggestion...definitely change the right side check valve while off only $40 and seems to be a common problem on all C5's.....

I just pulled the intake off of my 03Z to replace the air check valve. While I had the manifold off, even though it was working fine, I replaced the oil pressure sensor as these also have a history of failure. Not sure if it is in the same place on an 02. Also check inside the manifold for oil puddles. I got an ounce or so out of mine. That got me considering putting on a catch can.
