2004 c5 low oil level on dic ?

Default 2004 c5 low oil level on dic ?

changed oil 3 weeks ago .have driven the car maybe 30 miles.got in it today to take pics for insurance company.went to pull it back in when I started it low oil level pops up.checked oil level good.anything to look for.thanks

Just to be clear, the message on the DIC stated, OIL LEVEL LOW not CHANGE OIL SOON

Could also be that the sensor has gone bad.

My Z51 vert used to do that if I was parked on a slant. I could pull to a level area, shut it off, then restart the car and it was fine.

Could also be that the oil was not filled to the proper level.
Use the dip stick first.

Yeah, I did that and it was perfect. Should have said that I guess.

went out to look at connection 8vette7 suggested.started the car to back out of garage and no low oil level on dic.shut off the car and checked oil right on the money.restarted car went through the gages everything good.went for a 10 mile ride no code.dont know what to think could battery be going dic shows 14.2 with car running.car starts strong.
