I'll be the first to say, this thread is pointless. With that out of the way, this is the scene in the parking lot at my office today. I run an Army Recruiting Center and 3 of us are proud Corvette owners. My torch red C5 is in the middle, the silver C6Z is mostly stock. The black C6 that can't park makes 500rwhp with cam/heads etc...
All beautiful cars..... but I'll never understand the attraction (still) of the black wheels....
...Sinister-one, I had for the longest time shared your view about black wheels for years, and as I prepared to completely detail my car for the largest Corvette meet on the West coast held in San Diego. I got to the point of dreading to polish out all my aluminum wheels (hours of detail work) 'again', and on a whim I ran down and purchased some black plastic dip and did my wheels in 2 hours. Upon finishing and installing them, I realized that it changed the whole look and attitude of my FRC and I really liked it. While at Sea Port Village, I was shocked by the numerous compliments received, I'm just saying that sometimes change is good in life and it won't be the last one I do on my car, next mod, turbo's !!!!!!......

If you have not heard my story, I ordered Chrome and got Black (made me a deal I could not refuse) I had already blacked out stuff on my car but could not pull the trigger on black wheels, so I put the wrong ordered wheels on, and will not take them off (well maybe) I too get tons of compliments ???

I still don't like black wheels and I must say your C5 is the best looking car out your window! My job is on the road so my window view is my windshield.

Thanks! I prefer the C5 to the C6, but that's a whole other debate for another day...
