I recently replaced my 1998 stock wheels with C6 split spokes. I was going to switch the TPMS to the newer rims but they broke apart when the mechanic tried to make the switch. I'd be happy to run without them but of course the message is flashing in my face constantly and from what I've searched I can't eliminate this. My question is, do I need to buy TPMS for a 1998 year, or for the C6 wheels ? ( I think split spokes were 2008-2009 )
Thanks !

You need to buy the sensors for the 1997-2000 model years. The C6 sensors will not work with your car. The other alternative would be to upgrade to the 2001-2004 sensors. That would require swapping out additional parts, but would allow for the use of the less expensive sensors.

Thanks Chuck I've seen lots of different opinions on that subject and wanted a definitive answer that I could trust

I don't have any TPMS sensors. I just clear the message after every startup. Some day I will scare up enough cash to fix them. Mike
