lots of people here buy from HF, sounds like it's decent ? Used to think they are cheap and products aren't very good. But I guess most of their stuff are decent? just look at reviews and stuff?

If you are a mechanic by trade, then buy the best but if you are going to do a HB once, why buy a $300.00 Snapon.

When I get a chance, I will compare readings from my Proto to my HF and see if they are close.

That's funny! It also explains the mentality of some of the vette owners on here. It's a vette so I should pay extra!! I have never understood it, but what do I know?

I have several HF tools, a lot of Craftsman and some "high end" tools mixed in. HF is great for some stuff, not so for others. There torque wrench are great. I sent in my HF, Craftsman and a Proto tq wrench to be calibrated. When I got them back the reports indicated the HF was the closest and was actually acceptable as it was.

That's good to know, will buy more tq wrenches from them then when it's on sale. They have coupon every week right? right on their site. When do they usually have big sales, around holidays?

How are their car jacks? so many people on forum use it, but one guy said HF's car jack will fail randomly without warning. That's a pretty big concern even if I use jack stands all the time. I mean if it's old or abuses but fails without warning and randomly, but maybe that's just one guy's experience.

I've been using a HF alum. racing jack for years. They still sell them, on sale for $59.00....bet I use it once a week.

HF floor jack here, a lot of people fail to do the hydraulic bleeding when they get there jacks. If you read the paperwork inside the box, it tells you do do this.

I have mine a year now with no issues and used it often
