Default New stable mate!

Rescued this 76' today. All original, 82k miles. Needs a brake line. Could not believe the condition.

If it's all original, it's going to need a lot more than a brake line. Are the calipers leaking? Originals got pitted over time so it will probably need them. Go with the stainless sleeved units.

With some TLC, could make you a nice car. Good luck with it.

I'm aware. To be drivable it will need a brake line. I plan on going through it. Will run into a bunch of other things I'm sure. And thank you, stainless sleeved units is good info!

I believe so. 17 years ago I bought an '80 with 72K miles on it. I ended up replacing just about everything on it. Parts are pretty cheap and they are easy to work on. So have fun.

Going back a while I picked up.a '76, 4 spd, base 350. Mine was a nice tight cruiser, problem free while I owned it. Only criticism I had is that it was grossly underpowered for what was supposed to be Amerca's premier sports car. Acceleration was terrible, but once up to cruising it was a nice car. Best wishes! By the way, nice find and have fun!

Good luck with your new ride! I had a new 73 back in the day and it was a base 350 with a 4 speed also. I loved that car. It was the most reliable Corvette I ever had overall. It was not the fastest but ran just fine for me at the time. I had it for 3 years.
