Mine is delaminating also.

Does anyone know where a new one can be purchased?

That is a dealership item... just a little over $100 and worth it because of the shipping issues... remove the old one and have the plastic retainers ready when you go to the dealership and just install it there

My 2 local dealers quoted $200.92 and $186.56. I'm going to attempt a diy repair for my delaminating liner this weekend. I'll post a picture thread if successful.

Well I don't know if this is a true story or not ??

My under hood pad is ancient and the light socket is shot but at least it's intact with factory pins.
Well if it is a urban legend it is well thought out. I can't see why it would not function as mentioned. Completely possible. I will leave mine as it is complete with water stains just incase!

3M spray adhesive would be your best friend in this case...trust me. Mine looks ALMOST new after using a little of that and some tire foam to clean it up.

Not perfect mind you...but good enough for me. Looks a LOT better than it did.

I sprayed mine with flat black BBQ paint. Makes it look good and last longer and provides a good base for some airbrush artwork.

Spray it with tire foam and let it dry. Works great. I did mine in place, just covered the engine and fenders with plastic.
