That's a very open question...Mostly depends on what sound you're looking for. A good quiet option is the ti exhaust from the Z06. Louder many people like what corsa has to offer. I have the XS power cat back and like it. Best bet is to go on youtube and listen to videos of each exhaust and decide which sounds best to you

You really need to listen in person to a variety of exhausts in order to decide what is best for you. If there is a car show near you (preferably one with a lot of Vettes), ask the owners if you can listen to their exhaust and ask questions about install ease, any drone, etc.
Was talking to corvette specialties in Vancouver for around $4000.00 the can put a Billy Boat exhaust headers to tail pipes with a tune 100 hp gain thoughts? Thanks
Hello! Exhaust sound is a very personal thing, myriad of opinions! Another good option for looking is to find out if you've got a corvette club nearby and then attend one of their meetings/runs/gatherings. In my experience most club members are very welcoming and more than willing to show you what they've got and fire it up for you. Good luck and best wishes!
All good info, I have my doubts about a 100 hp gain. Thanks
100 horsepower is way off. Full exhaust and tune are good for 40-60 horsepower, depending on which brands you go with, and how aggressive the tune is. Don't let this discourage you- exhaust really wakes these old C5's up, and I consider this upgrade a must have.
As to your OP- Borla and Billy Boat are good choices if you like a low rumble/muscle car type sound. Corsa leans more toward the exotic spectrum.

I recently went through this process myself. Had stock exhaust that was not befitting a car of this sort.
My requirements for exhaust were: nice rumble at idle, good throaty and noticeable sound under medium to hard acceleration and quite (no drone) at cruising speeds. Was not looking for a really loud and possibly obnoxious sound. Was also keeping in mind that what one hears from the cockpit is less than what is heard from outside and behind the car.
I was told that some of the Corsa systems met my requirements. But...............pricey. So kept digging and doing research. End result. Found the XS Power system. Very good reviews and feed back from forum members. Great looking system. Well made and fit's perfect. The sound is exactly what i was looking for. Took the car on a 500 mile road trip shortly after the install. Quiet as can be on the highway. But nice rumble at idle and a great sound under acceleration.
I have borla stingers. On the highway, in sixth, they drone so loud that it feels like a standing wave in the car. Open windows / removed targa helps but it's still loud. I got used to it driving cross-country, and the drone is mostly gone at around 78 mph and higher, but good god. I'm going to replace them as soon as I get the chance.
It comes down to a Ginger or Mary Ann debate. Blonde, brunette or redhead type of thing. It all comes down to what you like to hear while on the pedal and when you are cruising on the interstate.
Some of us here like loud, nothing wrong with that. In my case, loud means taking the '66 425hp coupe with factory side exhaust out for a spin. The '04 coupe has TI axle back installed. Recently had LG headers installed with high flow cats and X-pipe. Added an ECS $149.00 tune. The car sounds right when pushed but civil when going down the road. It all comes down to personal taste regarding the sound the exhaust is generating. Really not much HP difference in regards to axle back systems but the ZO6 TI axle back does reduce overall backend weight considerably.
What matters the most to you, the owner is what sounds best to you. That then becomes the best exhaust available. Do the research, listening to what other owners have, best way to make an educated and less costly investment in the long run.

Maybe 30-40 HP.Someone is blowing smoke .At least you are considering headers, which are the first step in putting an aftermarket exhaust together.Best bet are headers,hi-flow cats and lightweight Z06 axle back and a quality tune.
