Default Cleaned my engine!

Cleaned my engine! Just one of the many projects for my 97 C5 I just bought about 2 weeks ago. Many hours hand washing while sweatin through the 90 degree heat. I think it turned out pretty good. What do you guys think?

Before and After.

Previous owner should be banned from owning a Vette.

Looks one heck of a lot better. Now just detail that engine bay on a regular basis and it will look that good all the time.

Looks good man. I feel you on the heat. Down here in Louisiana it's SUPER humid. I spent yesterday evening in my garage replacing a broken seat bracket and mannnnnn.... Ugh.
Next is deep cleaning my engine. I'm not looking forward to doing that in the heat.

I hear ya! I'm in east texas, can throw a rock and hit Shreveport. These days with the liquid steamy atmosphere, if outside stuff isn't done by about 10:30, well, there is always tomorrow, or maybe it can wait for fall!

Thanks everyone!!

Basically I did the following:
1) picked out all the dried leafs and maple tree propellers by hand where I can see them.
2) Then took a shop vac with a narrow end to get things I couldn't reach.
3) Then took a leaf blower to the whole thing to get anything else out.
4) Next was to start washing - but I was too scared to put the garden hose to it so I just wiped everything down with soap and water.
5) Then I took the leaf blower to it again to dry everything.
6) finished it off with "tire wet", which worked pretty well actually.

* I wish I could have taken the hose to it though. Would have saved me hours and I would have gotten to little crevices and deep areas I couldn't reach with my hands, but with all of the touchy electrical problems I keep reading about (and the fact my car has none of them at the moment) I decided to play it safe.
