Default Some stretching and questioning

Just stretched a 295 on a true 13 , I did a lot of measurements and research before I jumped into this and I think its going to work, but I wont know forsure till the installation tomorrow.

Anyone else running a 13 inch rear on a stock body ?

If so pls post pics

Also keep in mind, Michilin tires run pretty damn wide. That's why it doesn't look as stretched as it should lol

Seems generally recommended that the max rim width for a 295 would be 12". If the width is outside of the manufacturer's specification, any warranty/guaranty you might have would most likely not be honored.

And just be careful how you park........

Looks ridiculous, can you return the wheels? Or is this the way you want it to be?

No offence intended for sure, but I see a lot of kid ricers around here that do that and it looks like a cheap way to get wide wheels before they can afford the right tires for them. It also does not look safe. I'm wary of such things personally.

Those are nice wheels going on your nice car. Flared fenders covering the right size tires would be a great package. You have good taste in cars and your mods. That is not a great choice IMHO.

Judging from his taste in wheels and prior setups I am guessing he fully intends on running them this way and was going for this particular look, he's just looking to see if anyone has run this wide of a wheel on a stock body.

Not my cup of tea but be sure to post pics of the final result.

...I wouldn't do it, but that's me. Google, 'tire stretch fail' and see the results. I like being open to doing different mods on my Corvette and not be a one way type of person, but this just doesn't look safe for a car that's 170 mph capable and meant for handling. Your mod, your car, your safety, good luck !!......

It may rub the brake duct in the fender well. I would also think lowering the stance would be a problem.

And yes guys this is the look I was going for, as these wheels stick out past the fender by a small amount, half inch or so, so I had no choice but to run a smaller tire

Was just wondering if anyone else had squeezed a 13 on a stock body , I don't know if ive seen it before

Thanks

Actually, I'll go ahead and comment. What offset are you running on these wheels? I think your problems are going to be on the inside of the fender, not the outside. My 12s on 305s have a slight poke, but they are also extremely close to the inner fender. I've never rubbed, but I'm not sure where the extra 1/2" of wheel will go, depending on your offset. It may work, but it's gonna be close.

I would assume you'll have to remove the brake ducts on your Z to make it happen as well.

What I find interesting is that a few years ago there was a yellow Z06 on some Classics that was stetching the tire more than ***** and he got nothing but praises lol I think only one person told him the tires were too narrow lol

Crazy bunch of haters
