160 mph (258 kph) on a suitable country road. The scenery goes by REAL fast at that speed. It takes a very long time to brake at that speed and 100 mph feels like 15 mph after that. :jester :jester
Telephone poles look like a picket fence! :yesnod:
563 RWHP 701 RWTQ - Dayum!!! And your sig says supercharger on the way!!!
Even my car feels a little quick to me but your snake must be a monster. I can only imagine what it will be like supercharged! :smash: :smash: :yesnod: :yesnod:
96VIPERGTS,
You having it done by DLM or doing that yourself also?? What EXACTLY will the setup be? Are you keeping the nitrous? How much power you shooting for??? Either way, it should HAUL A*S*S*! :smash:

LT1pwrd'94,
I had originally thought of going with DLM. He told me basically for 35-40k   that he could give me somewhere between 800 and 900 rwhp on 93 octane. That was a lot to swallow. I like power as much as the next guy but that's almost the price of a z06. So I've decided to go with a roe racing bolt on for 6k. 5.5 psi roots style. Close to 600 rwhp and coming out with a stage 2 later that upgrades the fuel system and the boost to 8 psi expected to make around 660 rwhp. 99and older vipers have forged internals so they can take a pretty good beating so I will probably run a 100 shot also. Should be a lot of fun. Plus if I ever sell the car a can simply unbolt the charger and sell it vs. having an engine that has all kinds of aftermarket internals that could kil the value of the car. To me it just sound like the better way to go.
160 in my ws6 with a 100 shot racing a Formula...t-tops out.......both hairs floppin in the wind ;) Would like to see if it could pull higher in 6th now with the turbo
140mph on the back straight at Bridgehampton in the C5.
The C4 almost hit 130 there, but the damn digital speedo is so sluggish, you never know for sure.
I'm not crazy about doing over 120 on public highways when emergency services could
be an hour or more responding to a crash...
183 in my 2k coupe, then about that time the windows flexed out of the retainer clips on the targa making a Huge "woosh" noise!   my best friend (who was asleep) woke up, looked at the window, looked at the speed, then went back to sleep!
130 on Texas Motor Speedway. Could have gone faster, but they put a chicayne on the front stretcy to slow us down before turn 1. Car handled beautifully.
I do different club driving schools. On Watkins Glenn back stretch 148 and VIR front strech 150.
The torque curve makes it all happen yet the brakes allow one to explore the range of speed. My kick is how fast through the turns. It takes b... to go fast but skill through the turns.

145 on I95 last month...perfect conditions...thought about going faster, but was closing on 2 cars (turned out to be the only 2 cars in front of me for 45 miles (until Jacksonville)...
