Default running hot

since I have changed my water pump my 03 zo6 has been running warmer than before. when driving down the hwy. it will be at 200, when in town or sitting it will go to 220 to 235 then the fan will come on and cool her down. I don't remember her running that hot before I changed my water pump, I have read some of the forum posts that have said to bleed the air out by loosening the bolt at the cross over tube between the heads and every time I get more air, I have done it hot and cold. what am I doing wrong? just seems that I am not getting the air out. ( There are no mods to her except a cold air intake )

Second part of this post tells how to burp the system. As others will suggest, make sure you have no debri under car or on radiator.

P.S. If it is warm where you are those temp seem normal.
