In April I purchased a 1998 C5 converitble. The previous owner said that he had recently installed a new battery. This morning I came out to find the car completely dead. I took out the battery and got it checked. The shop said that it had a dead cell so I purchased a correct new one and intalled it.
Everything is working with the exception of the headlight doors. When you turn the switch the drivers side door opens and the light illuminates while the passenger side headlight door will not open. After turning off the switch the drivers side closes for a few seconds and then opens again.
Is there a reset proceedure I should follow? Any thoughts would be appreciated. The car is in perfect condition with 47K on it.
Try to re-boot electronics. Remove neg battery cable wait 10 min then re-install. Try to minimize arcing (clicking noise) when re installing cable. Good luck.
