Picked up my C5 on Saturday. Electron blue metallic, HUD, memory, and Z51 package. Pretty happy with it, fun car to drive. 6097 mi on the odo when I picked it up. Hoping to get more/better pictures of it in the upcoming weeks.
Love That color, when I was searching for my Z I had 3 color options, red yellow and blue, once I saw yhe blue in person my choice for color was down to 1. EB best color ever😆 at least for me
Nice! I just picked mine up a couple of weeks ago. That is super low mileage! Do you mind disclosing what you paid?
Nope. I'll preface it though with
1) I asked for feedback prior to buying from the forum. General consensus was that I was overpaying, which I actually kind of agree with.
2) I wasn't willing to drive more than 100 mi for a car, it had to be blue or black w/a 6sp and the targa top, and under 30k on the odo. I paid 28.5 for it. Comps on auto trader, car gurus, and one other site that escapes me were anywhere from 27k - 30 with similar miles.
In the end I really like the car. It's a night/weekend driver, sharing duties w/my 91 Camaro RS. Mileage will remain low - probably 500ish mi / yr, so hopefully it holds some value. Prior to buying it I thought i may take it to work now and again - but literally every highway around here is under construction, plus there's an accident almost every morning. Seeing what happened to Azure's car made me second guess doing that now.

As long as you're happy with the car, you can make everything else work out. If you truly keep the miles down, it'll hold value and you'll be in the drivers seat regardless if you decide 10 years down the road to sell or make it your DD. 500-1000 / year, you'll do fine. And you can rest assured there'll be no others in your area 5-10 years from now, there's hardly any now.
Whatever you do don't second guess yourself, put your mind back in the spot you were in and think of it that way. And don't complain about roads under construction. That means next year you'll have lots of nice new roads to enjoy! Around here they fixed a zillion of the back mountain roads in the last couple years and wow is it fun driving some of them.
Yeehaw!

Good advice for sure. It's just annoying as of late - I'm a bit south of Buffalo NY. The highway I use to get to the 90 has had construction for the last 3 weeks. Last week on the weekend they closed it completely headed North, this week they're doing it headed South. Plus some idiot hit a bridge just off the 90 on the main line I use to head downtown w/his trailer and backhoe, so that is all messed up as well. I tend to get cranky when I can't get where I need to go in a reasonable time due to every road being worked on. Plus - stone chip!
Any recommendations for things to do to the car actually? So far I have on order an indoor cover for the garage, the LCM5, the CAGS eliminator (that really annoyed the hell outta me the first weekend, now i just hit the go pedal a bit harder to avoid it till the eliminator arrives), and a new set of logo'd floor mats. Oil is clean, both oil pan gaskets were replaced, clutch fluid looks good, and battery is brand new (all done by dealer prior to delivery). Looking for "reverse-able mods" so I can have the bone stock low mi car "back" should I want. Long tube headers are on the list for probably next year - looking to drive and enjoy for now, but if there's some "little things" that can be done i'd be all ears.
