My Vette has very similar damage to your pictures and my insurance totaled it out. In AZ, cost to fix + salvage sale > vehicle valuation = total. You should look into what formula CA uses to total vehicles.
Before you accept anything. My son works in a body shop & helped our claim.
My wife was struck in the rear of her 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee we've had since new. It looked like all surface damage to me. The insurance Co offered us Surface Damage payment initially. My son removed the rear plastic bumper and showed the Insurance Co what they did not pay us for. We were paid for all the damage which by value totaled the vehicle.
In the State of MA when you deal direct with the at fault Insurance Co, the at fault Co cannot take your vehicle, mark it totaled & salvage it. They can only pay you the value of the car which is negotiable if you have receipts of all work performed and walk away. Through being a pain in the rear, the Insurance Co added the value of all items done in the past year 100%.
We received $1526 over the book value for 5 phone calls and providing the receipts. The car is in the body shop now being repaired. I was told the total cost using salvage parts will be far less than the amount paid out by dealing direct with the body shop for payment.
Before you give up the vehicle to an insurance co or body shop see what you can get from the Insurance Co & negotiate with the body shop or go elsewhere unless you want to get rid of the car.

I plan to collect insurance check and sell totaled car to Corvette shop with or without Borla exhaust/Z06 wheels. I'll negotiate with them the wheels/exhaust since I have not much space to store them here in LA.

I've been debating whether or not to get another Vette since I worry about more accidents and depleting whats left of the C5 log lol I'm telling you, drivers in LA are HORRIBLE.
I briefly considered city mpg for next car until I was driving my rental car: 2014/15 Ford Fusion with an Ecoboost engine. It's presumably a 4 cylinder turbo (haven't checked yet) making 18-20 city mpg which is same as my Vette with double the cylinders.
I may get another FRC or Z06 or C6. FRS/BRZ and early Cayman S have also crossed my mind, but I think I'd miss the Vette and I still have the C6 Z06 shocks still sitting in the box by the TV...
when i had my 2000 coupe, in late february, just had it out, and coming home from errands, a deer ran up out of the ditch and hit the passenger side fender. fender, light, bumper were damaged. they later found the inner engine cover was also damaged and had to be replaced, that brought the total up to $7100 in repairs. my repair shop said that if the hood had been damaged or the windshield would have been damaged, the car would have been totaled. he said the hood cost would have put it too high to repair by the ins. co.
about the only positive thing he said was: most corvette parts exist for repairing, it just gets harder as cars get over 10 years old, and of course more expensive!
sorry about your news!!!!
