Default Silicone intake boot

Hello have a c5 ls1 and want to replace the stock accordion style boot with silicone boot as I have heard that it flows air much better. I have done head and cam change so it benefit me to replace the stock boot. I'm currently using varram intake. Friend of mine said he dynoed his engine before and after installation and ten hp gain. Where is the best place to buy them. Thanks!

I find it hard to believe you can get a 10 HP increase from just a boot swap.

Save your money...this is for looks only. Horse power is expensive...Oh, yes, I have one too. And as said before, looks only

Contrary to internet belief, a smooth coupler may or may not have an effect on engine performance. The smooth coupler will actually slow down the flow of air going to the TB, while allowing more volume of air to pass. Since a cylinder will only hold so much volume of air, only so much will go into the combustion chamber. Slower moving air will cause the engine to run slighly lean. So if you have rich (LTFT's) you will benefit from the coupler if you are running lean you will slightly loose from the change.
