[My HUD on 99 Convertible suddenly stopped working. Almost like a fuse blew but I can't find a fuse that would control it. Any ideas?

QUOTE=Rob 02;1592951039]I have been working on a project car since May. It is a mechanical salvage car that I have rebuilt the engine, suspension and brakes on (the 02 coupe).
I still have the center console removed and I need to remove the dash to fix the HUD.
While those Items are out I am thinking of wrapping them in leather. The hard part is that the pieces are in such good shape.
If any of you think it is a good Idea to go with leather then what do you like on a black car. I'm thinking black with red stitch. My pockets aren't real deep and some of it will be DIY.[/QUOTE]
^From what I have read on this forum, there is a small linkage in the HUD that moves the projector up and down. It is prone to braking and it causes the projector to drop out of view. Google C5 Corvette HUD repair. There is a lot of information on this topic.
I just got an A4 shifter boot with red stitch. I need to glue the plastic piece in for the shift indicator. I'm trying to figure out how to clamp leather into the inside perimeter of it. I think I need a bunch of medical clamps.
I'm sorry, my post was unclear. They were speaking about the dash and door panels not the seats. My seats will be reupholstered next week. $550 for leather and reforming. I'm also going two tone black and original light gray with black stitching.
I think I have the performance where I want it for now. I'm not really racing this car. It is more of a daily driver. I'm not sure I could even push this car to it's limits on the street and I don't spend the day at the track.
The seat bottoms are worn and a pain in my back. The air bladders are dead... The interior needs a little TLC now.
