I bought a license plate with a design on that I liked for around $10.00, cut to desired size and stuck it up in place with two sided tape, been there for a number of years now.

Sooo....new plate has been on my counter for a week. Finally got around to installing it..well...thinking about installing it a day or two ago. Went to do it, and i noticed my tail pipes are kind of in front of the thing, with not a ton of clearance. I also noticed 2 hex nuts on the top sides of a bigger piece, possibly holding it in. Do you guys remove the 2 screws and somehow drop the whole assembly out, or is there enough wiggle room to do it right on the car?

Sounds like the previous owner REALLY wanted that exhaust plate to stick. I don't recall any hex nuts in the area when I installed mine. May be as easy as removing the bolts. Good luck.
