For some reason, it's always the modded-diesel trucks....sure, it's impressive to see that much weight move that quickly, but to want to race a Corvette...
Eli Not to mention, when they stomp on the throttle, all the smoke and soot, blows all over the car.brother tells me it's the big,new thing.
I had one clown try that around midnight on a deserted Pennsylvania highway. My car is black . Saw the guy coming a mile away. He passed me (I was doing the speed limit) then parked in front of me. As soon as I saw the smoke and soot I blasted around him until he was a speck in my rear mirror.
It doesn't happen very often but I will have the occasional driver who will rev his motor next to me or just has to be faster than me coming out of a red light. I just ignore him (always a man, by the way) making him frustrated when he realize that he has not proven anything except that his ***** are tied up in his crappy car leading a crappy life.
I see this attitude on most every drive, some of the worst are yuppie moms, hauling a crap load of spoiled brats, to soccer practice in her gas guzzling SUV

Yep. Slammed Civics, p/up's, etc. Was on a real piece of driver's road a while back and realized a Honda Ridgeline was determined to stick with me. I just kept my pace and the next sharp curve, I just kept my foot in it. I think Mr Honda scared himself ****less as he was about 100 yards behind by the time the road straightened out and made no attempt to keep up after that. Trying to keep up with a Vette on that sort of road - you gotta be kidding!
Have to agree on this, usually the jacked up red neck truck types. Not all the time but often enough to take notice of. I don't acknowledge them and they usually lose interest in short order. Actually used to get more of this when driving my 911. Everyone take good care!
I live in "lifted Dodge truck with Tapout sticker on the back window" central.
We call them "Bubba" trucks.
Yes...NCIC is a very real, disorder. Those that suffer from this disorder show signs and symptoms of varies degrees. Some go to extreme measures to try and compensate. While there is really no known cure for this disorder short of actually owning a corvette, taking a ride in one will only compound the problem... renting is a viable option... stealing will also work but, may have serious side effects. IF you are suffering from NCIC or know someone that is you can go to the For Sale Sections of the Corvette forum and find your cure.
i agree, and what is funniest of all is the huge diesel pick/ups jacked 3 feet into the air trying to establish their presence when they get along side...actually they are just trying to make up for their own insecurities and inadequacies.
I thought that was why we all bought Corvettes. (?)
