Sometimes we can be so wrapped up in our own daily grind we forget just how fragile life really is, then something like this happens and reminds us all. Prayers for him and his family and especially his wife.
Sorry for your friend, Pounder. Very tough situation. Lost a member of our club a few months ago in a similar fashion. He had just got a new c7 a few months before, and his wife offered it to club members, but who wants to cash in on a misfortune like that?
Friendships can develop without ever meeting someone in person. In this case, you share a common passion for Corvettes. This forum is a family in a sense and it is never easy to contemplate losing a friend or family member. The unfortunate part is that it is inevitable. The only thing you can control is how you interact and generate memories with whom you care about.
Totally agreed with you, even though you don't get to see people's faces here at the forum you can fell the camaraderie. So sorry to heard the news of your friend Pounder, hopefully he can enjoy the time he has left with his family and have a great time doing it....

From a purely practical side, I would suggest that he sell it when he sees no further personal use for it. It will be hard for a wife or friend to sell it without knowing all the details of the car. And it might later cause more painful memories for his wife, than selling it now and knowing he helped select a new home for it.

My friend here, David Shiel has just informed me that he has Terminal Cancer. As of now he says he is feeling OK, and is going to do some traveling. When he passes his wife will be selling his Vette, he asked me to to help with that. I guess at this point it's wait and see when ???? I say friend without meeting him but though this Forum I feel as we can get close to people without meeting them. So very Sorry to hear this news, my best to his wife and family. I am not very good with stuff like this, sorry if my wording is not correct !!!
I was just informed my Cousin and friend has stage 4 cancer, has just few months. He has C6 I know his wife is going to ask me help her sell. I'm loosing cousin and friend that we would go to car shows all the time.
It's so heart breaking, when I got the news. No how you feel.
Corvettes bring us together friendships keeps us together.. If you got friends with Corvettes ( MAKE ) time go have some fun with them share some smiles good times never know what tomorrow will bring.. I see way too many people just too busy to have a good time , got to cut the grass got to work got to do what ? stop go have some fun . Hope your forum friend had some good times in the end that's what we have to look back on ,nobody looks back on cutting the grass.. Pray for a cure .
Prayers for your buddy. Hopefully with the support of friends and family he enjoys life to it's fullest. I lost my father to brain cancer when I was 16 and an older sister sometime later and remember how difficult that was. Best wishes to you and your friend!
Hopefully when the time comes it will wind up in the hands of another forum member who will post some videos of doing smoky burnouts in his honor
in all respects. I told her to sell it to a Vette lover like me. Fired her up( the car) this AM am and smiled from ear to ear! Will fire her up tonight. May as well go out with a big grin!
I never drove it hard, but it deserves to be driven that way a few times. The Borlas are so great from idle to full-song.
Dave
Thinking of flying out to California for a few days then back to SC to begin a 3 month Cannabis Oil protocol. Not expecting a miracle cure , but hundreds have remarkedd about great symptom relief and extended life. Again, not in denial and not swayed by miracle cure claims! What is 8 grand. Can lose that in Vegas in 15 minutes!
Anyone know anything about it?

Hello David, I'm so sorry to hear your news. I don't know anything about the cannabis protocol but I thought I would relay some info concerning cancer treatment. Some time ago Dr Linus Pauling, a nobel prize winner, authored a book regarding the effects of high dosage vitamin C therapy on cancer. I believe the title was "Vitamin C and Cancer". Written to be understandable by a layman. An easy read and I got a copy for my friend who had cancer from Amazon.com. Dr Pauling was a very highly regarded man in his field for his research into boosting immune systems, not only for fighting cancer but also for enhancing general health. I'm hoping for the best for you and your family, best wishes, Sincerely, Mike Peloquin (friou)

I don't know anything about it, but it sounds like you're in good spirits. I hope you keep the Corvette -- you'd hate to sell it and then be in remission and wishing you had it back.
