Thanks for posting this.

I do have the shrouds but have not mounted them yet.

Yes they but I had bought my ACAS few years ago and didn't want to spend the $860 and without shroud. Tried to order just his complete hardware but he didn't want to split it up and definitely understand. They are awesome looking. Do you have any problem with pitting of the projectors as they are exposed to the elements? I will be posting the hardware soon

Would definitely like a list of the parts you used. I ended up selling some HIDs because the slop was so bad on the passenger side, even looks bad with the stock headlight.

Nice upgrade! That slop in the headlights is why I upgraded to the Radioflyer SLC.

Great video. I have the same headlights installed on my C5 and I love them. I too love the Lazy Eye headlight look. Can you provide a link to where the Lazy Eye headlight kit can be purchased from?

As bad as C5 lights are, and as much as I like the idea, I would not do a "Sun Gun" type install unless there was an acrylic/plexiglass/whatever clear cover in front of the projectors. Even with the shroud you show in place, stuff will get in there, and those of us who get winters would find salt and grit encrusted in the works in no time. Not to mention ending up with shot blasted projector units.

At least with a cover, if it does get scratched or weathered (and they do), it can be polished clear again.

No your fine! I just finished my quad projector project and was installing the lazy eye bracket (from Mike Basset) and it does not work on the stock OEM pop up light. There isn't enough adjustment available to reaim the "up"needed. However having said that i am working on a mod to for stock OEM headlight now. I will post it when completed.

Yes, I have the stock lights. I am only trying to understand something about the lazy eye kit and its cost of the upgrade.

Is the lazy eye upgrade a complete kit, or a project where I need to buy several items and put them together?

Sorry if I seem to be probing, but I am not getting a feel for what is included in the kit. I am still not even sure if this upgrade is a kit at all.

In the photo in this thread which shows the lazy eye installed on a C5 there you can see the following items:
  • Lenses
  • Shroud around the lenses
  • Nylon spacers and mounting bolts
  • Mounting plate and bolts
  • Mounting connectors for the bulbs
You cannot see it, but there must be something that changes the amount that the doors open.

Are you saying that all the above items as shown in the photo are available for $64 bucks?

No worries man I'll try to explain it the best I can. I think you're talking about the whole kit from Sunguns, based on that then I will go from here
Mike Basset songun kit includes the hardware for mounting. By hardware I mean the mounting bracket that holds the projectors. projectors the bulbs the ballasts and he has no shroud no lens cover and I believe that is like $800 and if you wanted do you lazy eye brackets I believe those are like $60 additional but they might come with the kit but I'm not sure about that. Please comment if I didn't answer it right. It's hard sometimes to explain when you're writing.

Those Igus brand bushings for the new 5/16" screws - "2mtg6" didn't come back with anything. Is there greater description of the part, or perhaps a direct link online?
