whether you go with high flow cats or test pipes they are usually part of the longtube header system... the systems without cats are generally a few hundred bucks less than with cats... some of the systems will have the cats welded in but some others are removable so you could switch between cats and test pipes if you wanted to
Looking at the Billy Boat and exhaust and long tube headers, do the cats have to stay? Thanks
I have LG long tubes with their catless X pipe and Billy Boat Route 66 over axle and mufflers. Like the others have said, the cats or test pipe are separate pieces that you can choose which one to install.
I think this combination is a good way to go. It helped performance and the sound is good. Definitely a non stock sound with a deeper tone, but I can barely notice it on the highway while cruising. It is a little louder under load. After a 1700 mile trip, my wife commented that it wasn't like most of my cars and she could actually hear the radio or talk while we were on the highway.
