I just recently purchased a 2003 collectors edition from Toyota in Jacksonville, Florida with only 19000 miles. The ride around there and back to Ms on the Interstate was fine. But later on the back roads around here the ride was very bad, I later found out that the previous two owners had left the shipping pucks in on each shock which I feel like the dealership which originally sold the car should have removed. After simply removing the shipping pucks I have a great ride. Thanks to the two previous owners I have a great ride.
The exact same thing happened to me when I bought my 03.
It had 24k on it and I was the third owner and all four shock pucks were still on the car.
I was amazed that neither of the previous owners nor the dealer had figured this out..............made a HUGE improvement in the ride!
Just to clarify, were these shipping pucks only on Vettes that had the Magnetic Selective Ride Control option? I would think so but just looking for confirmation.
Yes, only on the Magnetic Selective Ride Control option
