Default Getting acquainted with my new C5

Hey guys,

Just purchased a 99 pewter vert, and trying to work thru a few issues.

A/C was not working when I purchased, and I've retrieved 2 codes after driving her a few days and CEL came on. Codes are P0410 h c and B0361 h c. I have read lots of info about these codes, but haven't had any luck so far.

So I charged the A/C last nite, and thought I got lucky when the temp coming out of vents got down to 53F. But that didn't last as I woke up this morning to 75f and compressor making a noise when trying to engage low side today is 60, and high is 150ish and bouncing. So I'm guessing that compressor is going.

I then replaced the 7 year old battery, checked for corrosion underneath and didn't see any signs so that was good. Then I noticed the center and driver vents were blowing hotter than the passenger side.... Uhhg.
I read some info about disconnecting the battery for a bit so I tried that and no luck. I also read about pulling a fuse and checking the actuator, but wanted to ask here before I get too deep.

I see a compressor change in my future...

You may want to at the least, have dye,run thru the system, first.See where your loosing the freon.Mite not need too spend $1000. May be a simple repair. It cost me,$65.00 to find my leak.Thats where I got my numbers from,I just refill, every two months.$50.00 winters coming,it can wait.good to see your loving your car.

Congrats on your new to you '99! I'd try the dye before anything else, always try the easiest/simplest/cheapest fix first (I'm cheap!). Good luck with your new ride!
