Default Engine removal HELP

I have a 2001 vette and need to pull the motor. I have searched threads but not found what I need. I plan to drop the drive train from the bottom my question is what in the engine and front need to be disconnected ? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Your best bet is to take it slow and just disconnect things as you see fit. Some of the obvious things would be grounds, wire harness, power steering lines, fuel line, brake lines, battery lead to starter and alternator, and clutch line/at cooler lines depending on your transmission.

I pulled mine out the top, it wasn't that bad. Easier if you remove the intake and heads.

OK I am most concerned with the AC compressor, does the AC system have to be discharged or just remove the compressor from the engine?

Thanks for all of the input, I now how zip lock bags, a sharpie and lots of tags and zip ties to mark connections

Also I have considered buying the online Haynes service manual online, would this be any help or a waste of money?

When I removed my engine I unbolted the A/C compressor from the bracket and wired it to the frame. It hung there till the motor was put back into the car with no problems.

Get the factory manuals they are a life savor IMHO.

The A/C system IS UNDER PRESSURE, just so you know.

Everything seems to be ok in describing to disconnect, but what about disconnecting the motor from the driveline, I did not see that?

It was a matter of unbolting the bell housing from the motor block. The same as i did for earlier cars. It worked just fine for me that way. My car is a automatic.

There is a special procedure when removing and installing the torque tube on the A4. It is found in the Factory service manuals.
