Default C6 **** threaded for C5 Shifter with correct boot

Hello all,

I'd like to get a C6 **** that is threaded for my C5 shifter, with a correct black leather boot to suit the C6 **** in a C5 application.

Who is the best vendor for this? I found one vendor but I'm not so sure on their product .. They seem to want to sell me one with coloured stitching etc... I just want plain back leather boot and black stitching.

I want a very oem look. Not coloured stitching or suede boots etc.
Thanks for the help!

Might want to try the C6 FS forum.
Thats where I picked up a boot (and ****)

If you still have the factory shifter, you'll have to go aftermarket - the factory C6 ***** are not threaded - they slide on and use a screw to hold to the shift **** to the shaft.
The C6 shifter shaft is also larger diameter than a C5 shifter.
The C6 boots have a pin that clicks into a slotted ring on the ****.

For price comparison, a couple months ago I changed out to a C6 shifter, **** and boot. 140 for the NIB OEM shifter, 35 each for boot and **** (C6 FS Forum) , and about 1-1/2 hrs to install.

Not quite. There are vendors who sell a specific C6 **** that will thread onto the C5 shifter, they also supply a correct shift boot made to connect to the C6 **** and the C5 base.

I'm trying to find out who the preferred vendor is or who sells exactly what I'm looking for and reviews on fit/finish/pricing.

Point taken. At least you now have a baseline price for full C6 shifter conversion (I just did it a couple months ago, so the cost is relatively current)

HAve you seen this (old) thread?
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...5-99-99-a.html

Looks like about 190 for a **** and boot form that vendor.
